Snorkel the tropical coral reefs of Zanzibar

The island's small size means you can enjoy a boat ride out to find the best reefs from either coast, which often lie beside a secluded island. Slip into the waters of the Mnemba Atoll where epic marine life glide above colourful reefs. Chumbe Island boasts 90% of the coral in East Africa with Hawksbill turtles, smiling parrotfish and blue-spotted stingrays dazzling the senses. While the weather and water is top-notch almost all year round, your best bet for seeing the incredible whale sharks as they migrate down the coast is between October and February.
