From the outside, the InterContinental is not particularly memorable. The big, blocky structure stands eight stories high with a series of rectangular windows, surrounded by a puddles of green lawn. The bright lobby is glossy and welcoming, but the real charm comes through in the interior courtyard, which is overlooked by the lovely Rhythms Cafe. This botanical haven has a pool surrounded by plenty of sun loungers and several mature trees. There's also a well-equipped gym with a line of treadmills facing the courtyard. Additional amenities include a business centre, sauna and a hammam.
The three classes of rooms are all spacious and en-suite with plenty of natural light. All are equipped with the requisite mod-cons like air-conditioning, high-speed internet and room service. Suites are located between the first and sixth floor; they have queen-sized beds and large working desks. Executive rooms are located on the seventh floor; these offer access to the executive lounge with complimentary breakfasts and snacks throughout the day. They have a greater degree of space with an upgraded bathroom and deep bathtubs. Suites offer all the perks of executive rooms but sit on the top floor with a separate lounge area and a fully-equipped kitchen.
