Kande Beach Lodge

We are located along the shore of lake Malawi, Africa's 3rd largest fresh water lake. we are 60km's south of nkhata bay and 80km's north of dwangwa on the M5 lakeshore road.Lake Malawi forms part of Africa's great rift valley and is over 600km long and 80km wide. It is 475m above sea level and is 750m deep. Our beach is south facing and the water is clear, blue and safe from parasites and pollution, making it perfect for swimming, diving and water sports, there is a p.a.d.i. dive school on site and a stables with 24 well trained horses close by. Our restaurant serves a full range of quality meals to suite your budget and our bar has a selection of cold drinks, wines and spirits and is fitted with a good sound system for party nights. We have satellite TV for showing major sports events in the bar and free wi-fi available. We can cater for large groups and tour company's. We are situated half way along a 16km stretch of golden sand beach adjacent to kande island which is 800 meters off shore. We have a full range of water sports equipment to use or hire including sailing boats, windsurfers, canoes, pedalos and boats for skiing and excursions to places of interest along the lake shore. You can spend a day relaxing on the beach or at kande island. maybe go for a snorkel and see some of the rare cichlid fish endemic to lake Malawi.
