Letaka Tented Camp - Mababe

Each camp set-up is either on the verge of a woodland or next to a water source, meaning there's always a bit of shade and/or unobstructed views. At the heart of camp is a firepit, surrounded by canvas chairs, and this is where you'll convene for fresh-brewed coffee in the morning and evening drinks, stories and stargazing. The open-sided canvas dining tent hosts a single table where guests enjoy convivial meals of hearty, homemade fare. The charm of glowing lanterns and a well-laid table should never be underestimated!

Although relatively simple, out here the two-person tents will feel like certain luxury. They are tall enough to stand up in and large enough for two twin beds. Beds are covered with quality linens, decent mattresses and feather pillows. At the rear, through a mesh zippered door, you'll find the bathroom, with toilet, basin and bucket shower. Hot water for showering isn't instant, but made to order and despite how it sounds, bathing this way isn't really a hardship and often turns out the favourite experience.
