Set on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh in a private concession, Linyanti Bush Camp's Meru-style tents have a real African safari atmosphere. Explore the wilderness on day and night game drives, get intimate with its small creatures and vegetation on a walking safari, and float along the waterways on boating and mokoro excursions. Observe the wildlife from a selection of hides or hop aboard a helicopter rides for panoramic views of the swamps, woodlands and mixed savanna. Lion, leopard, African wild dog and hyaena top the bill of predator attractions, and there are great numbers of elephant, hippo, buffalo and crocs. Linyanti is also an Important Bird Area.

Tracking big cat footprints in the sandy earth by morning and following rare African wild dogs in the afternoon, before freshening up in the copper shower with a view of the Linyanti marsh.
The birdlife is excellent and there are plenty of local and migratory species to be spotted. A favourite sighting is always the spotted African eagle owl. Remember those binos!
The bush camp is located just next to the larger main camp so you might spot a few fellow safari-goers around and about the area.
The elevated central area, with its lounge, bar, dining and communal meeting areas, has comfortable furniture that just beckons you to settle down with a book from the well-stocked bookshelves, or simply to take in the wide view of the surrounding marshes and Linyanti River. The atmosphere is old-style colonial, with an eclectic collection of artefacts from across Africa decorating the room. After dinner, cross the deck and head downstairs to enjoy chats and drinks around the crackling camp fire.
There are six very large and comfortable Meru-style tents, each sensitively sited so as not to obstruct the views from the others. Reed mats cover the floors, hardwood furniture has been polished to a gleam, large sleigh-style beds make sure you'll sleep well, and the en-suite bathroom offers a shower and hot running water. Outside, you can watch the passing parade from your private seating area.

At Linyanti Bush Camp, day and night game drives take priority, showcasing an impressive diversity of wildlife, including the many predators of the region. Mokoro and boating trips to investigate the uinque aquatic wildlife as well as smaller mammal species. Keen anglers can fish from the boat for tilapia and other freshwater species. Walking safaris with armed and wild-smart rangers offer truly up-close-and-personal encounters. These excursions sharpen the senses and offer the most in-depth look at the Linyanti ecosystem. This camp is well known for it high-quality guiding, and is an Important Bird Area, especially waterfowl and birds of prey.

The Linyanti's diverse environment is composed of woodlands, marshlands, savannah and palm islands, attracting a wide variety of species. The area is famous for large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, roan, sable, zebra, and more. However, it is the predators that take centre stage in the Linyanti, with the rare wild dog, lion, cheetah and leopard producing some thrilling encounters.
