A large dining tent with a small, well-stocked bar is the camp's focal point, where guests gather for drinks, meals, and chats. In good weather, breakfast and lunch is served under the acacia trees overlooking the waterhole (keep a lookout for animals coming down to drink!) Picnics can also be arranged if you’re staying out all day. Sundowners and dinners are served under the stars next to an open fire - a typical African experience that you won't forget.
Manyara Ranch has eight classic, East African-style safari tents, six of which are doubles, and two interlinking tents intended for families. The interiors are roomy and comfortable, with huge beds, luxurious linen, ensuite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, a glorious rain-head shower, and proper flush toilet. Solid hand-crafted furniture and décor in warm bush tones give the interiors a pleasing natural feel. Each tent has a private wooden deck overlooking the waterhole in front of the camp.
Day and night drives, guided bush walks, and horse safaris take place on the ranch, while longer all-day game drives to the surrounding national parks allow for more abundant game-viewing. You’ll also have the chance to spend time at the secluded viewing hides near permanent waterholes, or tuck yourself away for a night at a fly-camp in the bush if you’re feeling adventurous. The local villages welcome visitors from the ranch, giving a cultural twist to this safari experience.
