The central area is breezy and open with warm hardwood floors, inviting chairs to plop down with a book from their collection (beside a roaring fire on cool days) and drooping, beaded light fixtures. There is also a convivial bar, boma and outdoor dining area where meals inspired by the heritage of the area are served along with your choice of cocktail. Visit the Trading Post for last-minute safari gear or One Nature originals, while the spa is ready to take care of any game drive-weary muscles.
Boasting some of the largest bedrooms in the Serengeti, the lodge has seven splendid villas with roll-up sides that frame the savannah perfectly. Each villa is equipped with an emperor-sized teak canopy bed topped with a goose down duvet (and a choice of pillows!) as well as a wood-fired stove and an alfresco living area. The en-suite bathroom enjoys an indoor and outdoor shower, while a private pool awaits on the deck. There is also a two-bedroom family villa, which includes swings in the lounge, a dining area and infinity pool.
The lodge ensures you're as comfortable as possible on game drives across the Northern Serengeti thanks to their state-of-the-art vehicles (everyone gets a pair of binoculars too). Also on the itinerary are walking safaris for a thrilling and more intimate experience, sunrise hot air balloon flights and visits to a nearby Maasai village. There is also a Little ONEderers program, which includes beading and painting, cooking lessons and demonstrations of traditional Maasai skills. And hey, why not begin your day with breakfast in the bush?
