Arriving on the safari scene in June 2024, One Nature's latest offering promises to combine its signature panache with superb vistas across the grasslands of the Northern Serengeti. Bold design choices make a splash throughout the lodge including stunning wildlife paintings, stand-out patterns and alfresco copper bathtubs. The lodge is located within a short distance of the Mara River, where some of the most dramatic moments of the Great Migration take place — but rest assured, sightings are spectacular all year long. One Nature also has a knack for making amazing experiences even more so, often assisted by your private butler. How does dinner beneath a lantern-filled tree on the savannah sound?
From $860 person/night
The lodge has taken important steps to ensure its sustainability including 100% solar-powered facilities.
Perched on a giant boulder, the lodge has a specially appointed area for capturing incredible photos — and they have cameras and lenses to go around.
If you're after somewhere with plenty of rustic charm, the luxury villas at One Nature won't be to your tastes.
The central area is breezy and open with warm hardwood floors, inviting chairs to plop down with a book from their collection (beside a roaring fire on cool days) and drooping, beaded light fixtures. There is also a convivial bar, boma and outdoor dining area where meals inspired by the heritage of the area are served along with your choice of cocktail. Visit the Trading Post for last-minute safari gear or One Nature originals, while the spa is ready to take care of any game drive-weary muscles.
Boasting some of the largest bedrooms in the Serengeti, the lodge has seven splendid villas with roll-up sides that frame the savannah perfectly. Each villa is equipped with an emperor-sized teak canopy bed topped with a goose down duvet (and a choice of pillows!) as well as a wood-fired stove and an alfresco living area. The en-suite bathroom enjoys an indoor and outdoor shower, while a private pool awaits on the deck. There is also a two-bedroom family villa, which includes swings in the lounge, a dining area and infinity pool.
The lodge ensures you're as comfortable as possible on game drives across the Northern Serengeti thanks to their state-of-the-art vehicles (everyone gets a pair of binoculars too). Also on the itinerary are walking safaris for a thrilling and more intimate experience, sunrise hot air balloon flights and visits to a nearby Maasai village. There is also a Little ONEderers program, which includes beading and painting, cooking lessons and demonstrations of traditional Maasai skills. And hey, why not begin your day with breakfast in the bush?
Show all wildlife
The Serengeti National Park is an ecologically rich environment and home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, Thomson's gazelle and buffalo grazing on the sweet grasses of the savannah. Even after the Great Migration has moved through, the game viewing is exceptional in this region. The predators are never far off, with cheetah and lion in abundance and leopard readily seen in the Seronera region of the Central Serengeti. Enjoy expansive grasslands, acacia thickets, meru kopjes (granitic hills) and riverine forests.
