Exploring a relatively untouched region is always a delight, and this walk in particular will allow you to enjoy all the peace this area of the Himalayas as to offer.
Arrange a cooking lesson with the staff and steal the secrets of the enticing local delicacies.
This is definitely an active walking experience rather than a fly and flop holiday.
Your trip will be led by experienced guides, and you'll also be accompanied by porters to help carry luggage from spot to spot. As well as looking after your every need, your team will prepare delicious picnic lunches, stop for tea breaks (and magically produce snacks) whenever you wish, and are always on hand if you have any questions whatsoever. Meals are served in the houses and the kitchen teams specialise in delicious Indian and Tibetan dishes.
There are three village houses along this trek and each will give you a taste of what it's like to live here. Traditional village homes, they are simple but cosy and each has two bedrooms, an ensuite bathroom (with hot water bucket showers), and spectacular mountain views. No worrying about chilly nights either: each house has a fire place to warm you, and there's a kitchenette if you fancy whipping up a cup of cocoa.
The daily hikes are the unquestionable highlight of trip, and walking amongst the snow-capped Himalayas, admiring the views and breathing in the crystalline air is hard to beat. It's also a fantastic way to glimpse local village life without feeling obtrusive. Other activities include cooking classes and mountain-top yoga - all you have to do is ask.
