On the deck is a small fire-pit for nights spent stargazing and watching out for nocturnal visitors.
Breakfast in the bush after an invigorating morning's game drive is the perfect way to start the day.
Take a guided bush walk and follow the tracks of the smaller mammals of the area with one of the well-trained Shangaan trackers, tailored to suit your individual fitness levels.
More a romantic bush home than a lodge, the main area has a spacious open-planned lounge, dining area and kitchen, where meals are prepared by your private chef. A washed, pastel colour pallet accentuates the rustic décor and tasteful modern furnishings. Huge fold-away doors blend the indoors seamlessly with the outdoors, and an outside lounge mirrors the comforts of inside, with a viewing deck and a rim-flow pool overlooking the river. The overall feel is one of elegant, sumptuous style without compromising on comfort.
There are just four thatched, freestanding suites, designed with effortlessly simple 'African chic' décor and a very high standard of comfort and luxury. Huge, fold-away french doors open onto a private deck with a plunge pool and outdoor shower - that is, if you can tear yourself away from the romantic slipper baths, which have exceptional views through floor-to-ceiling glass doors. The feel is indulgent, with wonderfully comfortable beds, mosquito nets and air-conditioning.
Feel like a new perspective? Hop in a helicopter for aerial views of the Blyde River Canyon and the aptly named God's Window.
