About Six Senses Yao Noi

Escape to a luxury Thai villa with sweeping sea views as far as the eye can see.
On approach by speedboat across the Andaman Sea, Yao Noi lies like a hidden paradise and you might just feel like you've fallen into a movie scene. After all, the famous James Bond Island is just a reef or two away. Six Senses pulls no punches in its design, sitting somewhere between a mansion and a treehouse, the villas are nothing short of gorgeous. Every one of them comes with an utterly private infinity pool! Rejuvenation flows throughout, from specialised sleep programs to coconut body scrubs in the hillside spa. The resort also has a robust collection of island activities - kayaking past picture-perfect scenes is just the tip of the iceberg.

Property details

The property

For the finest views, take a dip in the crescent infinity pool at The Hilltop and tuck into delectable dishes with everything from seafood to Italian - plus special full-moon dinners. Set across intimate pavilions, the romantic Dining Room has a mean wine list and offers cooking classes in Thai cuisine. Near to the shore, the Living Room serves dishes from around the globe in an alfresco setting. Pick your cocktail of choice from handwritten chalk menus at The Den, to be enjoyed in sunken lounges next to tranquil lotus ponds.

The rooms

Sprinkled across lush green slopes, the villas and suites are topped with thatch and come with impeccable views of the bay. Ranging from one to four air-conditioned rooms, amenities include a wine fridge, espresso machine and bathroom with a large tub and open-air shower. The View has 360° vistas, a hammock extension to the pool, private cinema, pool shack with do-it-yourself cocktails and a waterfall flowing beneath the glass bedroom floor.

Activities

Before you embark on any adventures, visit the local hornbill habitat or take in a Muay Thai boxing match at the beachside ring. Cycle past coconut farms, ivory beaches and grazing water buffalo on a meander through the local villages. Enjoy the smooth water of the bay with anything from windsurfing to longtail boat rides. Take a private cruise where you'll discover secluded islands and anchor down wherever you fancy a swim. We can't leave diving off the agenda, with hundreds of reefs, caves and channels to explore!

Something to think about

It wouldn't be a tropical island experience if there weren't mozzies. Be sure to roll-down the blinds or ask for extra bug spray if they become a bother!
