Where to begin? Between the five restaurants and few bars, the gigantic pool area and gym, there's lots to keep you busy. There are conference venues-aplenty, able to seat up to 500 delegates, and a ballroom suitable for guest lists 1000-strong.
With more than 300 rooms, this extensive complex is home to several multi-storey buildings and various stand-alone structures, including garden cottages. Deluxe rooms offer en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV, internet access and a balcony. The one- and two-bedroom suites offer facilities similar to those in the deluxe rooms, with en-suite bathrooms and double or twin-bed configurations. Cottages have a lounge with kitchen area, dining room and bar, an outdoor balcony and access to laundry facilities. Interiors are clean and comfortable.
For a day's break between destinations, lolling poolside is not a bad way to go. Colonise one of the many cushioned chairs, seek the shade of a palm or a spot beneath the large thatched-roof hut. Head to the marina for an outing on Lake Victoria; here you can rent a paddle boat or hire a motor boat for a bigger adventure. There's an on-site pony centre, and a spa that offers a full range of treatments.
A bold and dynamic capital city with a good dose of history to satisfy culture vultures.
