This beautiful camp is situated on a private concession in the Victoria Falls National Park, just 15 minutes by road from the majestic falls themselves. Elephant Camp is a mid-sized tented camp with 12 rooms spread across a hilltop overlooking the park. The decor is simple, with strong African influences and a modest level of luxury that does not detract from the inspiring surrounds. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and expansive views of the surrounding bush, take a game drive in search of wildlife or head to the 'Smoke that Thunders' for a day of adrenaline-filled activities.

Something to think about

You'll need to take a scheduled or private transfer to the Falls, so it's not an ideal choice if you want to be able to walk there or have super-quick access.

The property

The communal spaces are set beneath a draped ceiling, with solid floors, a raised wooden deck and wrap-around glass doors. Relax in the lounge on comfortable leather couches and wicker chairs set beneath ceiling fans and chandeliers. The dining space has three large wooden tables with dark high-back chairs. There is also a simple bar and library set-up. Outside on the deck are clusters of seating and a swimming pool with recliners. Enjoy breathtaking views from every corner of the camp.

The rooms

The 12 spacious tents are similar in style to the communal area. Each suite is divided into three sections with sliding doors that can be opened to let in the breeze. The rooms are comfortable, with large beds draped with mosquito nets, a coffee station and a minibar. In the lounge area, comfortable chairs provide the perfect spot for a bit of reading. The en-suite bathroom has a free-standing bath and both indoor and outdoor showers. Chill on a recliner on your private deck beside your own plunge pool.
