Set amongst beautifully-landscaped gardens, The Samaya is a chic and tranquil retreat from the world. Virtually on the beach, the bar is a favourite spot for reclining under the palms and the award-winning Breeze restaurant serves a selection of international and local dishes to the soundtrack of rolling waves. Within the Royal Courtyard area, the Brasserie offers an intimate setting to enjoy an all-day breakfast, hearty lunch or lavish dinner. The resort also has two beachfront spa suites for spoiling treatments when the moment calls.

Split between the beachside and the Royal Courtyard, which sits across the road and is around two minutes away from the beach by buggy, there are several villa categories to choose from. All have contemporary Balinese interiors with four-poster, King-size beds draped in netting, as well as an outdoor lounge and luxe bathrooms with huge tubs for the utmost in long, lazy soaks. The larger Royal Courtyard Villas all have outdoor gazebos beside their private pools as well as an additional dining space.

The resort offers a complimentary shuttle service within the Seminyak area and the laidback beach clubs and eclectic art galleries are definitely worth a visit. Otherwise, head further afield to explore the Tegalalang rice fields, visit the beautiful Uluwatu Temple, or hike the magnificent Mount Agung. The resort also has a number of on-site activities including cooking classes with the chefs, fruit carving, and coconut leaf art. Or take to the water for a surfing lesson in the balmy Indian Ocean.
