It may take pride of place in Cape Town's Church Square, surrounded by the views that make the city famous, but it's the attention to detail that will make you fall in love with Labotessa. Beyond the hotel's 17th century facade, it has history woven into its design and you'll find a space infused with elegance, comfort and a feeling of homeliness quite unexpected in a hotel with such an aristocratic flair. Feature walls and intriguing artworks join forces with plush furniture and a tour-de-force of hospitality to create a hotel that leaves the word 'immaculate' hanging in the air - along with the scent of their fabulous all-day breakfast.

You'll always feel like a valued guest at Labotessa whether it's your first or twentieth stay with them.
Labotessa keeps an eagle eye out for fun and exciting events around Cape Town, so why not ask the staff for something unique to do while you're in town?
There's no on-site pool or parking but you'll have swimming privileges at a neighbouring hotel and there's secure parking at a garage next door (for a daily fee of R300) - and it's the valet kind!
You first meet Labotessa as a stately home settled in a quaint garden. Then begins the ascent from the boutique shop, filled with the likes of Diptyque and Dr Vranjes, to the Governor's Suite at the summit. Enjoy down time in the swanky lounge and Lifestyle Bar, or the much-loved Starlings Cafe where local flavours and a buzzing atmosphere are always on the menu. The eclectic design seamlessly melds the ornate with the minimalist and creates a super refreshing feel throughout.
As we hinted in that little name drop, the Governor's Suite is Labotessa's main man. The grandest of the seven suites, it's a one-of-a-kind affair, complete with three bedrooms, two living areas, a kitchen and private splash pool with a mountain view to match. The six Signature Suites are just as great however and each is uniquely-designed and incredibly spacious. Soft greys and blues create a relaxing space and the en-suite bathrooms are gorgeous. Plus, who wouldn't love elevator access, in-room dining and views of Lion's Head?
With neighbours like Table Mountain, The Company Gardens and Long Street, you'll have no trouble finding an activity (or 50) to get stuck into. Slightly further afield, enjoy the foodie markets at V&A Waterfront, hike up Signal Hill or hit the sun-drenched beaches of Clifton. In keeping with the hotel's motif, a spot of historical sightseeing is also easy to arrange from the Castle of Good Hope to the District Six Museum. For an extra dose of nature, a concert at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is never a bad idea.
