Each villa has its own lounge with plush armchairs and sofas, cosy fireplaces and a patio with a plunge pool, so there's really no need to leave your abode! If you'd like to dine or explore further afield, the main area at Mushara Lodge is just a hop, skip and a jump away and the staff there will welcome you with open arms. There, the communal area consists of a large lounge with an adjoining, well-stocked bar, a stylish dining room/restaurant that stretches out onto a terrace, a small library (with free Wi-Fi) and a curio shop. Oh, and don't forget the large, and very inviting, swimming pool.
Each of the two uniquely designed villas has one double room, comfortably furnished with a large four-poster bed (draped with mozzie net), ottoman, and deep, cushioned armchair. The en-suite bathroom is stylishly appointed with beautiful fittings, an indulgent-looking bathtub and an outdoor shower. The lounge is a comfortable space with 'lose-yourself' sofas, a fireplace, a desk, and a tea/coffee station (or if you fancy something a little stronger, sherry and port). A CD player comes with a selection of soothing tunes and there's A/C to keep you cool in the summer months. Or you can simply opt to spend your days between the villa's private terrace and plunge pool.
While not included in the Villa rate, guided morning and afternoon game drives into Etosha National Park are offered. Most guests arrive with their own cars so self-driving around the Park is an option, though a guide's local knowledge can be useful for game tracking and a more immersive experience. Game viewing is best during the dry winter months and into spring (June - November) when game tends to congregate at the Park's many waterholes. Don't miss the mind-blowing view over the impressive Etosha Pan, spanning over 5 000 square kilometers! Back home at Mushara, keep an eye out for the warthogs and several antelope species that roam the reserve.
A safari wonderland, where plentiful waterholes amid the salt pans attract even more plentiful game.
