If there’s one park not to miss in Madagascar it’s Andasibe, and the lemur-filled forest is an excellent wildlife addition to your beach hopping. Activities include bush walks amongst the 12 species of lemur, night walks, and expeditions to Indri Island on game drives to see (and hear) the strange, teddy-bear like indri.
After your wildlife encounters, head north to the dreamy Nosy Be archipelago. You’ll hop around by boat visiting three different islands, each one more beautiful than the last. How about Nosy Be for black lemurs in the juicy forests, sea kayaking in gin-clear waters, and swimming with turtles?
Or Nosy Komba, a quaint, rainforested-island with no cars that will make you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time?
And then Tsarabanjina, Mada’s best-kept, barefoot-luxury secret.

On an island where curious, endemic wildlife and surreal scenery is the norm, Andasibe is one of the most spectacular destinations in Madagascar. Alongside its namesake national park, there are a number of other reserves, which you can explore on hikes, horseback rides and pirogue trips along quiet waterways. The really adventurous can even discover the unique nocturnal wildlife! Andasibe is home to 13 lemur species and there’s no better place to see these characterful creatures in the wild, especiall the largest lemur on Earth - the indri. The region is saturated with kaleidascopic flora, butterflies and chameleons, from the Jurassic Parson’s chameleon to ones the size of your thumbnail.

Sprawled across the hills, Madagascar’s capital city is packed with history, which is best discovered on foot. Highlights include the Cathedrale Catholique d’Andohalo, the ruins of the Rova palace complex (once home to the rulers of the Kingdom of Madagascar) or its recovered artifacts in the Musee Andafiavaratra, and learn about Madagascar’s many tribes at the Musée de l’Art et de Archéologie. Head a little out of the city to marvel at the World Heritage Site of Ambohimanga, sacred grounds with incredibly-preserved royal residences and graves. Get a sense of modern-day Madagascar at the lively Analakely Market and pick up hand-made souvenirs at La Digue Market, learn to make chocolate the Madagascan way and satisfy your taste buds at one of Antanarivo’s fabulous restaurants.
You will be collected from your lodge and driven to Ivato International Airport for your flight to Fascene Airport (Nosy Be). You will be met on arrival at Fascene Airport (Nosy Be) and driven to Eden Lodge.

Step back from civilisation's craziness on a tiny island located a 30-minute boat ride from Nosy Be. The first thing you see will be the beach, its white sands punctuated with giant baobab trees, some more than 700 years old. There are no roads or cars on the island, and only a tiny village nearby, so everything is geared to relaxation. The tranquillity is disturbed only by lemurs calling in the trees at night. Do as much or as little as you wish, and enjoy Eden Lodge's spacious shoreside accommodation, bar and restaurant, with its fresh and lovely cuisine.
You will be collected from Eden Lodge and driven to Time and Tide Tsara Komba.

Traveling throughout Madagascar is both awe-inspiring and very hard work, so a few days in a serene lodge on a tropical island is just the ticket as a transition between your adventure and your homeward journey. And Tsara Komba Lodge is the perfect wind-down destination. Sited on a forested mountain slope, facing the warm ocean and run by superb French hosts Xavier and Lucie, the lodge welcomes you with open arms. The thatched chalets are stylish, minimalist and ooze comfort, the food is very good, the views reach to infinity and you're encouraged to do exactly as you wish.

It's a short hop by boat or helicopter from the Madagascar mainland to lovely Nosy Be island and its award-winning Constance Tsarabanjina Lodge. The retreat, although pricey, is worth every cent. The atmosphere is laid-back and barefoot-chic, the bungalows are elegantly comfortable, the food is out of this world. But the prime attraction, of course, is the powdery beach-fringed tropical ocean. After feasting on the freshest of fish and island specialities in the sand-floored restaurant, head to your hammock for a gentle snooze. If beach holidays are your thing, you'll have trouble finding a better spot. See you there!
Sitting off the coast of Madagascar, Nosy Be and its surrounding isles is a true-blue beach paradise. You could spend all day soaking up the sun, go island-hopping in a pirogue canoe, or delve below the surface on a snorkelling or diving excursion, exploring reefs where sea turtles, rays and shoals of colourful fish dwell - and whale sharks in the right season. Look skywards and you may just see the especially rare Madagascar fish eagle in flight. Take a boat ride past the Organ Pipes of Nosy Mitsio, a striking formation of copper tubes that formed around 125 million years ago when Madagascar separated from the African continent. Then again, you may like to hike into the forested interior to spot lemurs, dazzling chameleons and tortoises. Hike to its highest point, Mont Passot, for the very best view on the island - especially around sunset.
You will be collected from Constance Tsarabanjina and driven to Fascene Airport (Nosy Be).
